Ralph Clements is the managing member of Clements Performance Solutions where he utilizes his experience in transformational leadership situations to develop the leadership skills for small and medium size companies.

Ralph Clements has served as Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering for over 15 years and has been involved with transformational leadership throughout his career.  Most recently he was the Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering for Imperial Sugar Company where he had responsibility for operations, engineering, research and development, environmental, health, safety and quality.  Ralph joined Imperial after a tragic accident at a Savannah sugar refinery in February 2008 and led the manufacturing team in re-vitalizing the operations.

Prior to joining Imperial Sugar Company, Ralph did consulting including work with a major firm in Moscow, Russia, and, a small construction and special products company.

Ralph was the Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering for Propex, Inc a company that was formerly BP Fabrics and Fibers and Amoco Fabric and Fibers.   During this time he had responsibility for four (4) manufacturing sites in the United States, two in Canada, and, one site in Mexico.  He also had responsibility for coordination of manufacturing efforts in Brazil, Germany and Hungary.  Along with the manufacturing sites, Ralph had responsibility for world-wide environmental, health and safety, capital management and engineering efforts.

Ralph started his career with Monsanto where he held various manufacturing and engineering positions.  During this time he was involved with three chemical plant start-ups, and, a turn-around effort with a large acrylic fiber manufacturing plant in Decatur, Alabama.  This plant won the Monsanto Corporation award for the best implementation of Statistical Quality Control as part of a 6-Sigma process.  Ralph has extensive training in Lean Manufacturing, has implemented successful Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs, and, has extensive experience in continuous improvement processes, including the Hagen Improvement Cycle® and CFA®.

Ralph graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering and has a Master of Business Administration Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
